Aluminum Pipe Handrail Goliath Roller Coaster at Six Flags

At Tri Tech, Inc., we can provide custom hand rails for a variety of industrial, commercial, and residential applications. This custom hand rail was made for the Goliath Coaster Station at Six Flags over Georgia. The rail is made of 1.5" aluminum pipe and was fabricated to all ASTM, AAMA, and AWS structural standards holding dimensional tolerances of ±0.0625". Pipe railing is an economical and durable rail choice for heavy use applications. In this case, the railing is subjected to large crowds for half of the year. It was imperative that the railing be able to support these constant dynamic loads while maintaining its structural integrity. Engineers can work with customers to develop a design that meets all of their functional and aesthetic needs while staying on budget.

The aluminum pipe was ground to a #4 finish using centerless grinding equipment to provide a clean, smooth substrate. Railings were assembled in sections not exceeding 20' for transport. Upon arrival at the park we installed the railing to customer specifications. Working with our customer the Foreman, Seeley, Fountain Architect group, we were able to provide high quality railing at an economical price.
